This timber curtainwall head assembly integrates with an exterior megapanel featuring a two-inch mineral fiber insulation layer behind five-eighths-inch glass fiber reinforced concrete cladding. A foil-faced self-adhered membrane provides weatherproofing, complemented by a sheet metal flashing designed to divert megapanel water away from the curtainwall head. A sheet silicone strip transitions directly into the curtainwall shoulder. The timber curtainwall utilizes a typical slotted head connection into an extended vertical exhaust duct, with sealant and backer rod applied between the duct and the returned edge of the metal panel. An extended vertical mullion attaches to the structural slab, paired with a manufacturer-specified pocket filler and a glazed-in metal panel with a notched profile at the duct.
