The door assembly features a hollow metal door positioned above an inverted 18-gauge steel channel and a thermally broken aluminum threshold. The threshold is set in a full bed of mastic and anchored directly to the concrete floor slab. A nylon brush door shoe is fitted to the bottom of the door, requiring coordination of the door undercut with hardware. Exterior to the threshold, a galvanized steel bar grating landing is supported by a galvanized steel channel landing frame. The landing frame is secured to the concrete slab with three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch expansion anchors spaced at twelve inches on center.
