Roof penetration flashing for TPO single-ply membrane systems. The left detail features a penetration through a plywood deck with a metal base plate, a twenty-four gauge galvanized iron hood sealed with one hundred percent urethane sealant, and a stainless steel hose clamp over a grout-filled base. The right detail features a membrane-flashed penetration through an OSB deck, utilizing a hot-air welded TPO flashing membrane secured with a stainless steel hose clamp and aluminum tape over the sixty mil TPO single-ply membrane. Both configurations maintain a minimum eight-inch vertical flashing height above the roof surface. The assembly is mechanically attached to the substrate, with the TPO membrane installed over a quarter-inch Securock cover board.
