A precast concrete paver system is set over a sand setting bed and a concrete base slab with an integrated snow melt system. The assembly bears on a compacted subgrade with a processed aggregate base layer featuring one-inch weep holes at low points and four-foot on-center spacings covered with twelve-by-twelve-inch squares of filter fabric. Rigid insulation is installed beneath the sand setting bed, and a four-and-a-half by four-and-a-half-inch heavy duty aluminum paver restraint is attached to the concrete slab using masonry nails at twelve inches on center minimum. Final depths and snow melt integration are coordinated with mechanical drawings.
