The atrium stair stringer utilizes a channel section framed into a structural steel beam sized per structural drawings, secured with a bolted connection plate. A steel angle edge forms the perimeter of the concrete floor slab adjacent to the stair assembly. An expansion joint is incorporated between the slab edge and the stair finish. A three-eighths inch riser end plate is welded to the channel stringer and the steel angle edge.
