A forty-two-inch high by three-eighths-inch thick structural steel bent plate guard protects the exterior downspout mounted against a painted concrete tilt-up wall. The steel guard receives two coats of gloss enamel paint matched to the building. The bottom of the steel guard sits two inches above the downspout opening. Each side of the guard attaches to the concrete wall with three one-half-inch diameter wedge anchors spaced at twenty inches on center, positioned a maximum of four inches from the top and bottom.
