An exterior plaster soffit transitions to a metal panel wall assembly at this junction. The soffit consists of an exterior ceramic tile adhered over thinset mortar on cement tile backer board, finished with a plaster casing bead at the metal panel interface. An inside closure piece, sealed and secured with sealant, bridges the transition. The exterior wall construction incorporates a 7/8-inch exterior plaster three-coat assembly over lath, backed by two layers of self-adhered weather-resistive barrier and flexible self-adhesive flashing at the joints.
