Steel beams frame into a central steel column supporting a roof deck above. Buckling-restrained braces connect via gusset plates welded to the underside of the steel beams and column. Stiffener plates are installed near side and far side within the beam and column as required by the manufacturer. Field welds secure the beam webs to the column connection plates, with additional field welds indicated for the gusset attachments.
