An isolated acoustic ceiling assembly constructed with two layers of gypsum board supported by six-inch metal studs and filled with four inches of insulation. The assembly maintains a variable clearance from the structure above and is left unbraced to prevent sound transmission. All penetrations through the gypsum board layers are sealed with specific acoustic sealant and backing.
