Jamb connection for a hollow metal door frame set into a metal stud partition. King studs flank the opening with a metal track header, tied to the frame using three Z-anchors per jamb. A one-quarter-inch shim space is maintained at the rough opening, finished with a J-mold on both sides. The hollow metal frame is filled with acoustical insulation when installed in an acoustic partition. A concealed hinge connects the door leaf to the frame, with the jamb width matched to the overall wall width.
