An eight-inch wide by eight-inch high concrete curb supports an eight-inch concrete masonry unit partition wall above the finish floor. Continuous fire stopping is installed at the wall base interface. Furring is applied alongside the masonry wall with a typical one-inch clearance dimension. For conditions where the partition width exceeds eight inches, the concrete curb width matches the partition width.
