A slotted top track connects to a continuous steel plate beneath a concrete-filled metal deck using two number eight screws at sixteen inches on-center maximum with a one-inch maximum distance from the ends. Fire safing or acoustical insulation fills the gaps between the deck flutes above the partition. Acoustical sealant or fire sealant applies along the partition joints depending on the fire or acoustical rating. The partition framing supports the wall assembly as scheduled below.
