Double cold-formed metal studs and tracks frame the rough opening using 362S162-54 studs and 362T150-54 metal track fastened with number 10 flat head sheet metal screws on each side. For opening widths ranging from zero to three feet eleven inches, an eighteen gauge track section is fastened by cutting the web and attaching flanges to studs with two screws per side. For opening widths ranging from four feet to seven feet eleven inches, the eighteen gauge track section has its flanges cut and web bent and attached to studs using five screws per side. Additional connection is made with two number 10 flat head sheet metal screws on each side into the metal track with a cut-out web and attached flanges.
