Two wide flange steel beams intersect at an angle, either bent up or down as sized per plan. The beam flanges and web are joined with complete joint penetration welds. A stiffener plate is welded to the beam webs, with plate thickness matching the beam flange thickness. Fillet welds are specified on three sides typically with a sizing of t divided by two.
