A roof drain with an overflow drain sits centered within a three-foot-wide by two-inch-deep roof sump formed in the insulation layer. The roof membrane extends down into the sump and seals directly to the roof drain flange over a coverboard and rigid insulation. The entire assembly passes through a concrete slab via a pipe sleeve. The void around the drain pipe is filled with mineral wool insulation.
