A diagonal splay twelve gauge wire meeting ASTM A641 with a Class 1 coating is secured to an overhead concrete slab using a three-eighths-inch Hilti KB-TZ-CS wedge anchor with a two-inch minimum embedment installed per ESR-1917. The wire connects via a one-and-a-half-inch by one-and-a-half-inch by two-inch twelve-gauge ceiling clip with four turns at the brace wire ends. The diagonal wire angle ranges between ten and forty-five degrees from vertical. One out of every two anchor assemblies must be field tested for four hundred and forty pounds in tension, and reinforcing bar locations must be verified by non-destructive testing prior to drilling.
