Cold-formed metal stud wall framing features horizontal bridging secured at each stud with a 1 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch by 16-gauge angle clip. Four number 10 screws attach the clip to the stud web and flange as indicated. Two number 10 screws fasten the bridging splice with a typical six-inch lap and four-inch spacing. For six-inch studs, use a two and one-half inch by 16-gauge horizontal bridging with a one-half inch flange. For three and five-eighths inch or four-inch studs, use a one and one-half inch by 16-gauge horizontal bridging with a one-half inch flange.
