A structural-sealant-glazed curtain wall assembly intersects a floor slab adjacent to a seismic expansion joint. The system incorporates an insulated glazing unit and a custom coping provided by the curtain wall manufacturer. A seismic joint cover spans the ten-inch void between building sections, backed by foil-faced polyisocyanurate insulation. An insulation-filled void and a fire barrier are installed within the joint assembly to maintain fire resistance ratings.
