Pipes are suspended below a concrete slab on metal deck using all-thread rods anchored into the structural slab with expansion anchors or blue banger metal deck inserts. The threaded rods support clevis hangers which cradle the pipes, and felt-lined clevis hangers are specified for copper pipes. Concrete on metal deck construction requires consulting structural drawings for support in areas without metal deck.
