A slip-type head joint connects a cold-formed metal stud partition wall to an overhead structural concrete slab, positioned perpendicular to the deck flutes. The wall framing consists of metal studs faced with gypsum board on both sides, with sound attenuation blanket insulation filling the stud cavity. A pre-formed mineral wool wall plug fills the gap at the deck flutes above the slip-type head joint. Continuous acoustic sealant is applied at the perimeter joint between the gypsum board and the underside of the structural slab.
