Cast-in-place concrete stairs bear on ninety percent compacted fill with a reinforced concrete footing extending one foot minimum below grade. Number three nosing bars are placed typically at each step edge, complemented by number three reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way through the stair slab. The footing features two number four rebars. The stair assembly interfaces with an adjacent asphaltic concrete paving or concrete slab at the base, and exact step profiles are referenced to architectural drawings.
