An oval metal duct passes through a gypsum board partition framed with metal studs, matching UL System Number W-L-7133. The annular space around the duct is packed with fire safing insulation and sealed with firestop sealant on both sides. Steel retaining angles secure the assembly at the opening and are finished with typical corner beads. Gypsum board is installed over metal studs per the designated partition type.
