A gypsum wallboard ceiling frames into a partition using a perimeter wall channel and a drywall grid system covered with five-eighths inch gypsum board. A specialized drywall-to-acoustical-ceiling transition trim bridges the gap between the gypsum board ceiling and the adjacent acoustical ceiling tile system. A drywall bead finishes the edge of the gypsum board at the transition joint. The acoustical ceiling tile grid system supports the drop ceiling tiles, with finished ceiling heights and partition locations coordinated per the reflected ceiling plan.
