Wood ceiling panels require a backing wood strip or short piece of T-rail attached to the back of the panel with wood screws before cutting, executed by others rather than the wood ceiling manufacturer. Field-cut ends along the trim line receive a touch-up finish supplied by the ceiling manufacturer. Cut boards must not extend beyond six inches unsupported.
