An interior partition wall assembly is framed with eight-inch metal studs spaced per structural drawings. Sound attenuation batt insulation fills the stud cavity to reduce acoustic transfer. Each side of the partition is clad with five-eighths-inch Type-X gypsum board. The wall finish is applied directly over the gypsum board according to the finish schedule.
