The accessible exit directional sign features a blue background with white symbols, letters, and Braille, all finished with a non-glare surface. Characters and symbols are raised one thirty-second of an inch, with sans serif characters at least one inch high. The sign must be mounted with the bottom of the lowest visual character at least forty inches above the finished floor. It is positioned adjacent to the latch side of a single door or the right side of double doors, located directly underneath the tactile egress sign provided per detail 1/AD-4. The contractor must verify the direction of the nearest accessible exit in the field prior to ordering and installation.
