A painted steel pipe guardrail and handrail assembly stands three feet six inches high, with posts spaced at four feet on center maximum. The system comprises one-and-a-half-inch diameter standard steel pipe posts and top rail, one-quarter-inch diameter intermediate horizontal members spaced evenly so that a four-inch diameter sphere cannot pass through, and a separate one-and-a-quarter-inch diameter handrail mounted on a support bracket welded to the post. The posts anchor into two-and-a-half-inch diameter standard steel pipe sleeves welded with a one-quarter-inch steel plate at the bottom, secured with anchoring cement.
