Markerboard attachment conditions occur at both concrete masonry unit and framed stud walls. The top of the assembly utilizes a mounting angle secured with three-eighths-inch diameter by two-inch embedment Hilti KB-3 anchors spaced at sixteen inches on center at CMU walls, paired with a map rail. The base includes an extruded aluminum markerboard tray secured with number ten sheet metal screws at sixteen inches on center for metal studs, or quarter-inch wood self-drilling screws at sixteen inches on center for wood studs. A backing track is provided per plan with fasteners spaced four inches maximum from ends. The total height dimension is four feet between the mounting conditions.
