A drain pipe penetrates through a concrete walk and curb assembly detailed with a transition manifold and accompanying pipe schedule. The concrete walk is thickened to nine inches at the drain pipe and reinforced with six by six ten-gauge welded wire mesh centered between the top of the walk and top of the pipe, extending two feet beyond the pipe on each side. An asphalt impregnated sheathing cut to fit and surround the pipe is used typically at all pipe-curb penetrations. The assembly includes a one-quarter-inch galvanized steel angle extended a minimum of four inches each way of the manifold, with a three-inch minimum cover and rebar four feet long at the pipe-curb penetration. Finish paving is provided per the site plan, with a slope of one-eighth inch per foot minimum and a berm providing two inches minimum ground cover at the drain pipe.
