Three metal studs form the intersection and corner configurations of interior partitions with gypsum board finishes. Self-tapping sheet metal screws measuring number eight fasten the studs together at sixteen inches on center. The intersection condition secures the intersecting stud into the main stud assembly, while the corner condition fastens each adjacent stud together. Dashed lines indicate the running line of the gypsum board on both sides of the framing.
