An aluminum stair top tread with a quarter-inch aluminum cover plate transitions to the floor slab. The stair framing connects to an aluminum channel beam, designated as AL CS6 beam, secured with a five-eighths-inch stainless steel bolt. The beam bears on an aluminum rectangular tube support column measuring four by four inches with a quarter-inch cap plate. Welds are specified as three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds throughout the connection assembly.
