A semi-recessed fire sprinkler head penetrates the ceiling finish utilizing an oversized two-inch escutcheon ring. The assembly accommodates movement by providing one inch of minimum free movement in all horizontal directions around the drop pipe. A similar installation applies for side wall applications.
