A one-and-one-quarter-inch by three-sixteenths-inch galvanized bar grate spans the elevator sump pit, secured with a type H-three saddle anchor maintaining a one-inch maximum clear opening and sliced in half to allow removability. The grate bears on a sump pit wall angle sized per structural drawings, which is anchored into the concrete sump pit wall.
