An armor edge joint assembly consists of two 2-inch by 3/8-inch steel plates equipped with 4-inch by 3/8-inch headed studs spaced at 12 inches on center. The steel bars are temporarily held together with nylon nuts over steel shipping nuts, which must be removed prior to pouring adjacent concrete. The assembly is detailed in plan, elevation, and section views for installation at concrete slab joints.
