A vinyl reducer strip of type Johnsonite model EG-XX-H bridges the height difference between a carpet installation and a sealed concrete floor. The carpet and pad rest on the concrete floor as specified per plan. The tapered vinyl transition strip laps over the edge of the carpet to provide a smooth transition to the adjacent exposed concrete slab.
