A one-half inch steel baluster connects to five-sixteenth inch plates set back one-quarter inch from the reference line. The baluster is notched over the stringer as detailed in the section notes. The connection is secured with bolts positioned seven-eighths of an inch from centerline, with a total baluster height of four inches and a one and one-quarter inch spacing dimension.
