A circular steel handrail is mounted to a wall at a height of plus three feet above finished floor. A three-quarter-inch steel support bracket with a one-and-a-half-inch radius connects the handrail to a steel mounting plate. The joint between the handrail and support bracket is continuously welded, ground smooth, and polished. The mounting plate fastens to a metal blocking assembly that is welded to the vertical steel stud framing.
