A methane pipe penetration passes through a structural roof deck carrying a barrier board, adhered insulation, and a hot-air welded PVC roof membrane. A steel pipe support rests on a steel plate below the roof assembly. A PVC base flashing is mechanically fastened to the deck using one-quarter-inch Simpson SDS stainless steel screws at sixteen inches on center with Sarnadiscs where crickets do not occur. A PVC flashing boot extends up the methane pipe and is secured with a stainless steel hose clamp and PVC sealant. Overlapping base flashings are notched and overlapped between penetrations.
