This parapet cap detail shows metal wall panels terminating at a sloped parapet with continuous trim and blocking provided by others. The assembly utilizes a twelve-gauge stainless steel hidden fastener clip set in butyl sealant at one per panel per support, fastened to the parapet backer using quarter-inch by fourteen low-profile fasteners spaced at eight inches on center. A continuous cleat secures the lower edge of the exterior metal panel using quarter-inch by fourteen hex head fasteners without washers. Continuous butyl sealant is applied to both sides of the trim with a marriage bead to the front face of the panel at the joint, and the membrane is wrapped and adhered to the exterior panel face.
