Two adjacent concrete tilt-up wall panels are separated by a half-inch vertical joint spanning from the footing to the top of the panels. A backer rod is installed at each face of the wall within the joint. Continuous sealant is applied over the backer rod at both exterior and interior faces to seal the gap.
