A low wood-framed parapet assembly incorporates tapered insulation sloping over existing decking. A drip edge connects at the top edge of the parapet. Existing wood blocking sits atop the wall, with notes requiring any damaged blocking to be repaired using pressure-treated lumber. Tapered insulation is installed to meet the parapet height at a minimum slope of one-quarter inch per foot.
