Precast concrete specialty coping units are anchored to concrete seat walls, fountain pool seat walls, and square piers using one-half inch diameter by six-inch long stainless steel dowels set in non-shrink grout with a minimum of two to four dowels per coping piece. A one-half inch mortar joint with sealant and backer rod sits directly beneath the precast coping above continuous metal flashing with caulked penetrations. Vertical coping joints measure one-half inch and incorporate backer rod, sealant, and lead T-caps. Plan views illustrate coping layouts for piers, ends, and corners with directional slope arrows.
