An elevator crosshead (top) or safety plank (bottom) connects to the elevator stile using a bolted retainer plate assembly. The retainer plate mounts directly to the top flange of the crosshead member with two bolts and extends to engage the vertical guide rail. A dimension indicates a ten-foot vertical spacing from plate to plate. The guide rail is positioned adjacent to the stile with a detail reference marker pointing to the junction.
