An aluminum door frame sits adjacent to a cold-formed steel stud partition framed with six-inch metal studs spaced at twelve inches on center. A steel loaded aluminum frame is secured with sealant and backer rod on both sides of the joint. An angle measuring four by four by three-eighths inches connects the frame assembly to a five-eighths-inch steel embed plate anchored with Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ anchors providing two and a half inches of embedment. Wall finishes are applied over the framing, and a finger guard is incorporated into the aluminum frame profile.
