A door head condition at a concrete masonry unit wall features a steel frame filled with grout. A continuous sixteen-gauge steel plate stiffener is integrated into the assembly above the frame. A continuous twenty-gauge galvanized steel flashing with upturned ends is installed and painted, accompanied by a continuous type two sealant joint at the room side. The overhead structure incorporates a reinforced concrete masonry unit lintel.
