An HSS 14x2x1/4 steel stringer acts as the guardrail base, welded directly to the top of the steel stringer with welds ground smooth. Vertical 1/2-inch by 2-inch steel bars are spaced at 4 inches on center along the 3-foot 6-inch guardrail wall. The guardrail assembly mounts adjacent to a concrete slab and concrete wall.
