A continuous one-inch by one-inch by sixteen-gauge metal angle is attached to each partition metal stud at sixteen inches on center using a minimum of number ten self-tapping sheet metal screws. The gypsum ceiling finish meets the partition with a three-eighths inch gap. An acoustical ceiling tile system transitions from the gypsum ceiling via a specialized transition clip suspended by hanger wires spaced up to eight inches maximum.
