A two-hour rated shaftwall head assembly connects to a concrete slab on metal deck using a fire trak cavity shadowline runner. A one-inch gypsum shaft liner panel is secured with shaft liner attachment clips, paired with sound attenuation fire blanket insulation as required per partition type. Posiklip stud attachments secure the framing, while five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board is fastened exclusively to the metal studs. Fire and smoke sealant with a static rating matching the partition is applied at the slab junction.
