This non-rated acoustical partition achieves an STC rating of 50 to 54 using independent metal stud rows separated by a minimum of one inch of clear space. Each side of the partition is finished with one layer of gypsum board. Acoustical insulation is installed within the stud cavities. Lateral stud bracing is provided as required, with no rigid cross bracing permitted between the two stud rows.
