A Z-shaped clip secures a steel door frame to a metal stud wall assembly with a typical overall width of 5 inches unless otherwise noted. A 1-15/16 inch by 1-3/4 inch thick door panel is accommodated within the frame. The partition type is determined per plan where it intersects the frame.
